Terms of Service

Last updated: July 19, 2026

Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account or using SimCode (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.

The Service

SimCode is a web-based tool for editing SimulationCraft Action Priority Lists (APLs), configuring character profiles, and running SimulationCraft simulations against a variety of scenarios.

The Service is currently in beta. Features may change, break, or be removed without notice, and simulation results may contain errors. Do not rely on the Service as your only copy of any profile or APL you care about.

Your account

  • You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity that happens under your account
  • You must provide a valid email address so we can reach you about your account
  • You may delete your account at any time from the account page, which removes your account and associated data as described in the Privacy Policy

Premium subscriptions

Some features of the Service require a paid Premium subscription, billed monthly or annually through our payment provider, Stripe. We do not store your card details; payment information is handled entirely by Stripe.

  • Renewal: subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled
  • Cancellation: you can cancel at any time from the account page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep Premium access until then
  • Failed payments: if a renewal payment fails repeatedly, your subscription ends and your account reverts to the free tier
  • Price changes: if we change subscription prices, the new price applies from your next billing period and we will notify you in advance
  • Refunds: except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us and we will sort it out

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Abuse the simulation queue or attempt to circumvent free-tier limits, rate limits, or Premium gating
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other users' accounts, or the servers it runs on
  • Disrupt the Service, for example by flooding it with automated requests or deliberately submitting inputs designed to crash or overload it
  • Use shared report links to distribute content that is illegal or infringes someone else's rights
  • Resell or commercially redistribute the Service

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

Your content

You keep ownership of the profiles, APLs, and other content you create in the Service. By submitting content, you grant us the limited license needed to store it, run simulations on it, and — if you choose to share a report — display it to anyone with the link.

Shared reports are public to anyone who has the link. Do not include anything in a shared report that you do not want to be publicly visible.

Third-party software and trademarks

Simulations are powered by SimulationCraft, an open-source project not affiliated with SimCode. World of Warcraft and related names are trademarks of Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. SimCode is a fan-made tool and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Blizzard Entertainment or the SimulationCraft project.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that simulation results will be accurate. Simulation output is theoretical modelling, not a promise about in-game performance.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including lost data or lost profits. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose (or zero, if you use the free tier). Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms, or discontinue the Service (with reasonable notice where practical). If we terminate a Premium account without cause, we will refund the unused portion of your subscription.

Changes to these terms

The date at the beginning of the page will be updated for any and all changes. For significant changes (especially anything affecting billing or your rights), we'll make reasonable efforts to notify existing users. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
